Solar collectors

Solar Living install high efficiency evacuated tube collectors as standard as we feel they most suit our climate, giving good performance all year round.

Each tube has a selective coating on the inner layer of glass, this absorbs the sun’s radiation and converts it into heat. The internal copper heat pipe transfers this heat to the solar manifold.

Liquid is pumped around the solar loop, passing through the manifold, collecting heat. This heat is transferred via the solar coil to the hot water cylinder.

Even in the winter or cloudy days your solar collector will assist in heating your water, helping to reduce your boiler load.

Solar twin coil hot water cylinder

We always change your old hot water cylinder for a new high efficiency copper solar twin coil cylinder.

We can have these made to measure, which gives you the option to add extra insulation, even add extra coils for wood burners.

If you want mains pressure hot water we can install a Thermal store cylinder.
